Fund Raising
Our fund raising efforts are multi-pronged. Given we are providing a service that is traditionally provided by a municipal organization, we make a direct plea to our constituents for funding. Our expecation is that with prompt, professional conduct we will continue to get support from our neighbors. We are all volunteers who are dispatched by radios to an emergency. We must maintain certifications and licenses which requires significant time.
Our second prong in our fund raising effort is to promote EMS literature through our EMS Short Story Contest. This event is detailed on our website.
Our third prong is through grants. With the continuing pressure to comply with federal and state guidelines for operations, communications, safety, medical training and mutual aid there is occasional funding to support these requirements. Often an agency like ours must contribute to an effort to qualify for a grant.
